RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
We bring bright scientists to work together on challenging technologies

Our research program began in 1999 with the establishment of a partnership to bridge the funding and technology commercialization gap that exists between science and business. We expand the professional opportunities of academic-based biomedical scientists by providing financial support through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), State technology development funds and private industry, thus encouraging academic scientists to collaborate in the development of new, challenging technologies.

Under its 8(a) certification, Biomedica allows scientists to work in a collaborative environment to secure sole source contracts from government agencies, and participate in set-aside solicitations. NIH Small Business funding, defense needs and congressionally mandated programs significantly expand the world of support for biomedical research.
