Studies on Ischemia/Reperfusion in the the liver indicate that Neutrolide, a small molecule selectin blocker developed by our company, has a significant protective effect against ischemic damage following reperfusion. We have also studied the specific use of neutrolide in conjunction with resuscitation fluids to prevent Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome(SIRS) and organ failure following resuscitation of patients in hypovolemic shock.
