| Topical wounds are often minor and heal quickly within six hours of the
injury, but some wounds can lead to extensive blood loss or an infection or injury to deeper
structures. First aid steps when treating cuts or other types of common wounds include controlling the bleeding, cleaning the wound, applying a topical antibiotic ointment, covering the wound with a bandage, and frequently changing the bandages. Most wounds respond to gentle direct 10-20 minutes pressure with a clean cloth or bandage. When pressure fails to stop the bleeding medical assitance is required. When gentle pressure is not enough to stop the bleeding, these wounds need to be sewn shut by a physician (stitches or sutures).

A single application of ClotBlock Bandage inmediately stops the bleeding from deep wounds, desinfects and seals them hermertically, and accelerates
the healing process preventing the formation of visible scars.
